A Cerny’s Update
Our 30th year has come and gone. The parades are over and the fireworks have ended as we settle into our 31st
year. Our spring season was pretty good considering the economic climate. I don’t think there are many
businesses, or people for that matter, who haven’t been affected by this downturn. We truly appreciate you, our
loyal customers, as we know you have many choices out there; we are thankful when you choose us. We hope
your summer gardens were fruitful and rewarding. We feel fortunate to grow a product that brings such joy to
people’s lives.
One area in which we have been very aggressive, and which has continued to grow strongly for us, is the
wholesale side of our business. The growth has even prompted us to expand our greenhouse space by 15 percent,
with the building of a new 6,000 square foot structure at our south location. It’s exciting, and a bit scary, to make
such changes in these times, but more and more greenhouses and garden centers are requesting our quality plants.
It’s uplifting to think of Cerny’s plants gracing homes from Wausau to the UP, and all points in between.
